Didcot Town’s recent downturn in form is merely a blip, according to joint manager Ian Concannon.

The Railwaymen take on Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West promotion rivals Taunton Town at Draycott Engineering Loop Meadow tomorrow and Concannon is hopeful they will get back to winning ways following two defeats and a draw in their last three matches.

“You’re not going to go through a whole season winning every game,” said Concannon.

“Every team will go through an indifferent period at some stage and that’s what we’re going through now.

“It’s second versus third, so it should be a good game.”

Midfielder Andy Ballard returns from a two-game suspension, leaving Didcot at full strength.

North Leigh manager Mark Gee admitted that a repeat of their remarkable 11-0 thumping of Bashley is unlikely when they travel to the basement side.

The Millers inflicted the heaviest defeat of the season on Bashley in November, but Gee is wary of a home side looking for revenge.

He said: “Had it been four or five months ago I think it would be easier because the memory would have faded.”

Aaron Woodley has return-ed from holiday, giving Gee a full squad to choose from.

Wantage Town boss Daniel Barry will make changes as his side travel to fellow strugglers Fleet Town looking to recover from last week’s 3-0 home loss to Clevedon Town.

He said: “The young players have been great but we need to take the pressure off them and rotate the squad so we don’t burn them out.”

John McMahon returns from suspension and 17-year-old Elliott Harper could make his debut, but Adam Doyle misses out with a knee injury and Tai Hulbert-Thomas is unavailable.
