Didcot Town joint manager Ian Concannon has urged his side to keep up the good work when they travel to AFC Totton tonight.

The Railwaymen stretched their unbeaten run in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West to 17 matches with a 3-1 home win against Sholing Sports on Saturday.

Although his third-placed side are 14 points behind pacesetters Merthyr Town, Concannon says it is essential they keep up the momentum.

“We’re looking to push for the top,” he said. “We want to send out the message that we want to go for it.

“We need to stay on our unbeaten run and turn the draws into wins.

“The idea is to win the title, and if we don’t, we have to make sure we stay in the mix.”

Didcot’s only injury worry is Pablo Haysham, who turned an ankle against Sholing.

Meanwhile, Banbury United have moved off the bottom of the Premier Division table following the demise of Hereford United.

The Puritans lost to Hereford twice earlier in the season, so had no points deducted, after the Bulls’ record was expunged.

Banbury are now a point above new basement boys Burnham.
