FOOTBALL: Abingdon United exit FA Vase amid goal fest
KIERAN Cochrane’s brace was in vain as Abingdon United lost 7-3 at Littlehampton in an FA Vase second round replay.
The visitors, who arrived late due to traffic problems, trailed 3-0 after half an hour, but Cochrane pulled a goal back just before the break.
The teams traded goals after the restart, with Cochrane’s second briefly making it 4-2, while Matty Hardwick struck for 5-3.
But Littlehampton, who will now go on to host Ashford United in Saturday’s third round, scored two more in the closing stages.
