Jamie Cook completed a brace with a stunning strike as North Leigh staged a comeback to draw 3-3 against Shortwood United in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West at Eynsham Park last night.

The Millers were trailing 3-1 in the second half when Kieran Sanders scored a superb solo effort in the 71st minute, beating a number of defenders before burying a right-foot shot from just outside the box.

Ten minutes later, Cook levelled it up as he cut in from the right to let fly with a drive from the edge of the box, which whistled past the keeper.

Shortwood had opened the scoring after 20 minutes when towering striker Lewis Sommers nodded in from a corner.

Cook levelled in the 40th minute, netting after keeper Tom King had spilled a Morgan Williams free-kick.

Shortwood regained the lead with a Phil Veal header in the 66th minute, and North Leigh fell further behind two minutes later when Adam Price fired home.

But North Leigh rallied in terrific fashion.
