PABLO Haysham scored an 87th-minute winner as Didcot Town beat Bideford 2-1 in their first qualifying round replay.

After the Railwaymen had fought back from 3-1 behind to secure a replay in a 3-3 draw on Saturday, lasy night’s victory sets up a trip to Uxbridge in the next round.

The Southern League Division 1 South & West hosts had taken the lead when Jack Longford netted after 67 minutes.

However, the visitors, who play in a division above Didcot, hit back almost immediately to equalise.

But with the full time whistle looming, Haysham was in the right place to score the winner.

Banbury United are also through after a dramatic 1-0 success at home to Evesham United in their replay.

Three minutes remained when Adeyinka Talabi headed in the winner for Paul Davis’s side, nodding home a fine cross from Luke Cray.

Banbury’s reward is a home tie with Marine on November 15.

Meanwhile, the Southern League board will meet tomorrow to discuss the outcome of Banbury’s abandoned match at home to Slough Town on October 25.

The match was called off at half-time after referee Lee Sheridan was struck by a plastic bottle thrown by a Banbury supporter.

Slough have written to the league requesting to be awarded the points from the fixture, but the league have confirmed that no decision will be made until the conclusion of an investigation by the FA.
