Didcot Town’s joint boss Ian Concannon is hoping to bring in Reading youngster Germaine Ofori for a second loan spell due to a striker shortage at the Calor League Division 1 South & West club.

With Pablo Haysham sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up in Tuesday’s 1-0 win against Wimborne, it leaves John Mills as their only recognised striker.

“Pablo will be out for a couple of weeks, which is a bit of a blow,” said Concannon “Jermaine was a success when he was here before and we’ve spoken to Reading.

“He has been out injured, but hopefully he is with us Saturday.”

Didcot will also be without midfielder Kameron Abbassi who has been ruled out for the season with a calf problem.

North Leigh manager Mark Gee says his side face a big test of their play-off credentials at Cirencester Town.

Saturday’s 3-0 win against Yate Town and Tuesday’s 4-0 success at Cinderford Town have put Gee’s side within two points of fifth-placed Tiverton Town.

But he warned: “We’ve got a really tough game on Saturday.

“There’s a mini-league of 12 games and if you win that league then you are in the play-offs.”

He felt the signing of midfielder, Liam Malone from Oxford City, was key to their recent revival.

Gee added: “He’s done very well and has injected energy into the middle of the pitch which has allowed Elliott Osborne-Ricketts to get forward more where he is more dangerous.”
