AFC Hinksey manager Kevin McMahon has been reported to the Oxfordshire FA for “disciplinary irregularities” following the fiery Division 1 East encounter against Milton United on Saturday.

McMahon was not shown a red card by referee Craig Boyles, as reported in Monday’s Oxford Mail, but it seems he has landed himself in hot water with comments he made to the official at the final whistle.

Hellenic League general manager Brian King said that according to the reports received, goalkeeper Martin Clarke was the fourth Hinksey player to be sent off.

Stevie Haines, Keiran Davis and Denel Thomas had earlier been shown red cards.

Meanwhile, the OFA have issued charges against Hinksey after their Division 1 East match at Chinnor on March 1 was abandoned following an altercation between one of their players and referee Ian Lowe.

Reflecting on the top-of-the-table battle against Milton, which Hinksey lost 1-0, McMahon, who is considering his future, said: “I think the referee was too young to cope with that game and not experienced enough.

“I just think in my personal opinion there is a vendetta against us at the moment.

“We are not angels by any means, but it is being blown out of proportion.”
