Banbury United scored one of the quickest goals ever seen at Spencer Stadium, but still fell to their sixth successive Calor League Premier Division defeat - 4-3 to AFC Totton - on a day of woeful defending.
With Dominic Lawless and Scott Bridges having left, there were enforced changes with new signing Daniel Bevis, from New Bradwell St Peter, on the bench.
Banbury got off to the best of starts when, virtually from the kick-off Aaron Morgan hit a superb strike from 30 yards which smashed against the underside of the Totton bar.
It bounced down for the predatory Adeyinka Talabi, following up, to head the ball home from five yards after just 15 seconds.
Amazingly, less than a minute after the restart, Totton were level.
A free-kick was pumped into the Banbury penalty area and it fell to Luke Roberts, who slotted the ball home from five yards It only took until the eighth minute for Totton totake the lead.
A long ball from Liam Hibberd saw Harrison Gilkes get ahead of the slack Banbury defence and lob the stranded keeper Kwame Fordah from the edge of the penalty area.
Just before the quarter-of -an-hour mark, it was 3-1 to the lowly visitors.
Banbury twice failed to clear the ball which eventually fell to Lewis Lindsay who, in plenty of space, struck it home from four yards.
Banbury reduced the deficit to one before the half-hour mark when Nic Evangelinos put through Kynan Isaac, who slotted the ball into the corner of the net past an exposed keeper Steve Mowthrope.
Totton effectively wrapped up the points with a fourth goal midway through the second half.
Gilkes used his trickery and skill to take the ball along the bye-line before cutting it back for Zac Mouland bundled it home.
Though United rarely looked like getting back into the contest, they scored their third goal a minute from time when Isaac’s free-kick led to Wayne Blossom sliding in at the far post to complete the scoring.
