Banbury United boss Edwin Stein has warned Albi Skendi he could be shown the door – unless his attitude improves.

Stein was furious with the Albanian striker, who rejoined his Calor League Premier Division side from Oxford City in November, for failing to turn up for training and also missed a game.

“Albi has talent, there is no question about it, “ said Stein. “But how long do we wait for it to re-emerge?

“Last week he was talking about quitting the game or possibly joining Swindon or some other club.

“I told him to ‘go home put your feet up and chill-out’ and give me a call, but I’ve not heard from him since.

“He played really well for us for half a season last year and really made an impact. When he returned from City he did really well for us.

“But he hasn’t been turning up for training and he didn’t make the coach for the Hemel game.

“Albi is letting himself, me and his teammates down.

“He needs to pull his socks up or there could be a parting of the ways.”

Skendi misses out with a metat-arsal injury, while Kynan Isaac serves the first of a seven-match ban imposed following an FA hearing.

Isaac was accused of making racist remarks to an assistant referee against Bedford Town last May.

His ban starts in tomorrow’s home game against Arlesey Town.

Scott Bridges and Wayne Blossom are also suspended.

Banbury Utd (v Arlesey Tn, home): from Snedker, Abrahams, Simpson, Ryan, McNulty, Dias, Morgan, Talabi, Green, Evangelinos, Mbamarah, Pinto, A Dumbleton.
