Ardley United assistant manager Brian Robinson has been recognised for devoting 60 years to the game by the FA.
Robinson, 81, who lives in Chesterton near Bicester, was presented with a long service award.
“Robbie” as he is known, came to the area when he served in the Britsh Army at Bicester as part of his national service.
As well as playing for Bicester Town, he also turned out for Oxford City.
After retiring, he spent time on the management team at Chipping Norton, and Banbury United.
