Title-chasing Paulton eased to a comfortable 3-1 win over Didcot at the Draycott Engineering Loop Meadow Stadium in Calor League Division 1 South & West on Saturday.

The game was effectively settled by half-time after the visitors scored twice without reply.

Josh Klein-Davis got the first on 15 minutes, heading home Marcus Mapstone’s free-kick.

Klein-Davis missed two further great chances before he doubled the lead on 39 minutes. The home side failed to clear the danger and he fired home from close-range.

Didcot fell further behind when Rovers added a third through Nick McCootie midway through the second half.

But Didcot scored the goal of the game three minutes from time, Mike McKirnon’s stunning 30-yarder wrong-footing keeper Lewis Pierre.
