Oxford City boss Mike Ford says the club will do all they can to keep their on-loan striker Kayden Jackson at Marsh Lane in Skrill North.
Jackson, 19, has been in sensational form since joining City on loan from Sky Bet League One side Swindon Town, scoring three goals in successive games.
He was cup-tied for City’s FA Trophy defeat away to Barnet, but is looking to get back among the goals when they host Vauxhall Motors at Marsh Lane tomorrow.
Jackson initially joined for two months, but Ford has been so impressed with the Bradford-born teenager’s form that they want to extend it further “It would be great to keep him for another month,” said Ford.
“We want him to stay, he wants to stay and Swindon want him to stay.
“We’ll just have to wait and see.”
With frontmen Jamie Cook (stiff back ) and Steve Basham (calf) sidelined for at least a week, Jackson has another chance to impress.
Meanwhile, Ford is keen for his side to keep up their good home form.
He added: “It’s good to be at home again after three away trips. “We have won three and drawn two of our last five games.
“Our pitch is not the best, so hopefully we can turn it to our advantage.”
