Oxford City manager Mike Ford admitted to being frustrated after seeing his side beaten 1-0 at Vauxhall Motors in Skrill North, writes MATTHEW BRUCE.
After falling behind in the third minute, City looked the better side, and Ford said it was a situation that has become all too familiar.
“It’s just deja vu, isn’t it? Here we go again,” he said.
“We can’t go making excuses. We conceded in two minutes and it’s then an uphill battle to get back in it.
“But if we play like we did in the second half, all of the time, we’ll win most games.”
Ford felt his side are in a false position after City dropped to the bottom of the table.
He said: “We haven’t been beaten heavily by anyone.
“The lads are disappointed because they turn up every week convinced that this is the one where we can finally get what we deserve.
“I hope the FA Cup can give us a bit of spice to kick-start our season, because that’s all we need to get going.”
