OXFORD City maintained their unbeaten pre-season campaign with a 2-1 win over a youthful Birmingham City XI last night.
The Blues bossed the first half and took a 1-0 lead into the break thanks to Reece Brown’s goal on 15 minutes.
City seized the initiative after the interval with two quick goals.
The first came in farcical circumstances as Birmingham keeper Connal Trueman blasted a clearance against the back of a defender and Jamie Cook was on hand to head the loose ball home.
City snatched the winner when Lee Henderson, who had only just come on for Adam Learoyd, rose to power in a header from a free-kick.
