But they were pegged back as David Murphy hit a Dorchester double, with further strikes came from Mark Ingram and Max Palmer.

Kidlington Royals came away from Barton United with a 4-2 success.

It finished 3-3 after 90 minutes and extra time, after King & Queen had led 2-0 and 3-0, courtesy of goals from Simon Evans, Ben Jones and Michael Ridley. Lewis Colwell, Glen Oakes and Liam O’Sullivan hit back for Northway, but they were edged out in the shoot-out.

Newcomers Watlington Wanderers notched their first win when beating JET 5-4 on penalties in the Ridgeway Cup first round.

Strikes from Watlington’s Ben Strudley & Robbie Wood were cancelled out by a double from JET’s Matt Mallia as it finished 2-2 after extra time.

The penalty shoot-out was decided by Watlington’s Luke Rowe.

Unbeaten new boys North Oxford Conservative Club lost 7-2 at The Tree, Grove.

Joe Ledbury smashed a second-half-hat-trick, with Tree’s other goals coming from Jonny James (2), Ollie O’Hanlon and Tom Eatwell.

North scored late on through Andy Potter’s spot-kick and Steve Doyle.

In the clash between two unbeaten teams, Freeland Yeoman won 3-1 at home to Forest Hill, with Paul Salter scoring twice and Les Hole once. Mike Cosier replied for Forest Hill.

Jack Barrett hit a hat-trick in Iffley Harriers’s 5-3 home win against Checkendon Exiles. Chris Morgan’s brace made up Harriers’s tally, with Max Peterson, Scott Gesner and Dave Woodley netting for Checkendon.
