MAX Palmer bagged four goals as Dorchester United responded from an opening day drubbing to win 8-5 against Kidlington Royals in the Critchleys UTV League Premier Division, writes TIM SIRET.

Playing the entire game with ten men, United shrugged off last week’s 9-1 loss to Cholsey.

David Murphy hit a hat-trick and Aaron Stockford grabbed the home side’s other goal, as Ryan Curtin’s treble for Royals was cancelled out.

Jelroy Constant and Tony Webster were also on target for the losing side.

Promoted AFC Jericho lead the table after making it two wins out of two with a 3-1 victory against Cholsey United .

Ben Curtis opened the scoring and a brace from Louis Joyce made the points safe. Steve Park scored the visitors’ consolation.

A late show saw Yellow Eagles come from 3-1 down to win 4-3 against Barton United .

Garry Howkins and two penalties from Aaron Williams, either side of Richard Morgan’s free kick for Eagles, gave Barton a 3-1 lead.

But goals in the final ten minutes from John McCluskey, Chris White and Morgan completed a superb comeback.

An even bigger lead was overcome in Division 1, where Rutherford Lab won 4-3 at King & Queen Wheatley .

Ben Jones, Dan Normington and Simon Evans put King & Queen in charge, but Liam Powell came off the bench to inspire the visitors.

Chris Clickmore pulled one goal back before the substitute scored twice and set up the winner for John Hawkins.

Sam Graham scored three times as Railway Wheatley romped to a 7-0 win against Didcot Casuals to go top.

Aaron Laman (2), Reece Veal and Daniel Smith also netted.

A double for Lewis White set Freeland Yeoman on their way to a 4-1 win against Checkendon Exiles .

Richard Trigg and Steve Carvey also scored for the Division 2 leaders, Arron Ploszynski registering for the Exiles.

Northway Res and Abingdon Exiles claimed their first points with a 3-3 draw.

Andy Aldington, John Monnery and Ian Bishop netted for the Exiles, but Joey Beauchamp scored his second double in as many games and the former Oxford United star set up Northway’s other goal, scored by Mike Yearwood.

Tom Srawley’s hat-trick helped AFC Valley to a 4-1 win at home to The Tree .

Alex Bird hit their other goal, while Jonny James notched a consolation for the visitors.

Sporting Headington Academicals , reformed from Mansfield Road, won their first UTV game, 4-2 at Iffley Harriers .

Peter Lefort, Stuart Hunter, Ben Wright and Tim Wright scored for the away side.

Black Swan and Woodstock Wanderers both made it six points out of six with their second victories in Division 3.

Wayne Waldron scored twice in Swan’s 6-2 win over Milton Midgets , with Gary Belcher, Ben Carter, Adam Greenaway and Dave Carter also netting. James Carlini hit both Midgets’ goals.

A brace from Tom Nee and a strike from Ashley Skinner gave the Wanderers a 3-2 win against JET , for whom Dave Cookson and James Brough-ton scored.
