Slade Farm United were celebrating after lifting the Ben Turner Cup for the first time in their short history with a 2-0 victory against Horspath at Oxford University Press on Easter Monday.
After a goalless first half, the Bicester club, who were formed in 1995 as a protest against development at Slade Farm, took the lead with a clinical strike from Matthew Blenford.
And the victory was sealed late on when Lee Clack fired in Slade’s second goal to spark the celebrations.
The Premier Division club originally played in the Banbury District & Lord Jersey FA, before switching to the Oxfordshire Senior League three seasons ago.
