Bletchingdon upset the formbook and eased their relegation fears as they knocked Oxford University Press off the top of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division with a stunning 2-0 win, writes Brian Kirk.
They took the lead on 65 minutes when Owen Bunce rifled home a shot from inside the six-yard box.
Victory was sealed when Johnny Richards fired in Bletchingdon’s second goal.
A Clarke Lemke brace saw Mansfield Road to a 2-1 comeback win at Horspath.
Horspath took the lead through Elliot O’Brien’s close-range strike.
However, sloppy defending allowed Lemke to level.
Lemke completed his double when a defensive header fell short and he lobbed home.
AFC Hinksey eased to a 2-0 victory against Slade Farm United, thanks to a brace from Steve Haines.
He opened his account when he headed in a corner, before completing his double with a penalty into the left corner net after Jelroy Constant was bought down.
Freeland let slip the lead as they lost 2-1 at Stonesfield, with lall the goals coming before the break.
Simon Hole looped a header over a stranded Stonesfield keeper Chris Days to give Freeland the lead.
Tim Wyatt tapped in the equaliser from Nick Bucknall’s pass before Tom Higgs smashed home the winner from 20 yards.
