Dave Rich, the North Berks League general secretary, was honoured at their annual meeting.
Rich was presented with the GR Davis Memorial Trophy for ‘a long meritorious service to the league’ in an awards ceremony after the meeting.

l FORMER Abingdon Town boss Pete Lamont is the new manager of North Berks League Division 1 side Drayton.

ABINGDON United have taken up the place vacated by Witney United for Clanfield’s annual Jim Newman Memorial Trophy. The tournament starts on Saturday.
First round draw July 31: Shrivenham v Letcombe (2pm), Clanfield v Witney & District FA (5pm).
Aug 1: Carterton v Faringdon Tn (1pm), Abingdon Utd v Purton (4pm).
CLANFIELD are looking for an away pre-season friendly on July 20.
