FOOTBALL: Vale of White Horse Schools beaten after marathon penalty shoot-out
VALE of White Horse Schools Under 13 bowed out of the ESFA Inter-Association Trophy in the cruellest fashion when they lost 8-7 in a shootout at Gosport & Fareham.
The visitors took the lead in the first minute through Sam Nelson, only for Oscar Deans to equalise two minutes later.
There were no more goals until extra time when Dylan Holgate scored for Gosport.
But Robbie Gallagher equalised for Vale with two minutes left.
After 20 penalties in the shoot-out, the hosts edged it with their eighth successful kick.
