JACK Dunmall scored a spectacular goal in the final minute to earn Kidlington a dramatic 2-1 victory at home to Northwood Town in Division 1 Central.
Kidlington thought they had taken the lead midway through the first half, but Lewis Coyle’s effort was disallowed for offside.
At the other end, Northwood were denied when James Budden’s head was cleared off the line by Jack Quainton.
The action intensified in the second half, and Kidlington took the lead in the 67th minute.
Coyle floated over a brilliant corner which Tommy Castle powered home with his head.
Only a visiting save from Wood keeper Borja Loeches-Teixeira prevented Dunmall making it 2-0.
Shortly after Coyle’s dipping volley hit the bar, Northwood equalised.
A shot from Malachy McGovern deflected off Myles Stephenson into the net, wrong-footing home keeper Bojan Tatek in the process.
Kidlington threw everything into attack and the endeavours of young substitute Harry Whitehead were justly rewarded.
Following the pacy Whitehead’s challenge in the penalty area, the ball looped up into the air.
Dunmall controlled it with his back to goal, and flicked it over his shoulder into the net, leaving Loeches-Teixeira stranded
