OXFORD City are waiting to discover how much money they will receive following Luke Coulson’s move from Eastleigh to Barnet.

The midfielder left Marsh Lane to join the Vanarama National League side almost exactly 12 months ago for a club-record fee.

As part of the transfer, City had a sell-on clause should Coulson leave.

A number of impressive displays saw the 22-year-old watched closely by several Football League teams, including some from the Sky Bet Championship.

However, Barnet have won the race for his signature – although the fee has not been disclosed by either club.

At the same time as Coulson joined Barnet, left-back Sam Muggleton moved in the opposite direction, also for an undisclosed fee.

City general manager Justin Merritt said: “We are still waiting to hear the fee because we do have a sell-on clause from the initial transfer.

“But we would like to congratulate Luke on getting a move into the Football League and are pleased we have played a part in helping him achieve that.”
