ANACLET Odhiambo could make an immediate return for Kidlington when they travel to Histon in Division 1 Central tomorrow.

The striker fired the Greens to the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division title last season with 37 goals, before following former assistant Julian McCalmon to Marlow.

But McCalmon’s appointment as Kidlington manager has led to the return of several key players, including Odhiambo, with midfielder Lewis Gabbidon and defender Henry Owen also rejoining ahead of last weekend’s first win of the season in the Evo-Stik Southern League.

“They’ve gelled straight away and it was like they’d never left,” McCalmon said.

“They’ve been welcomed back with open arms.

“They know the club, they know the lads here and they can hit the ground running.”

Owen, Mark Flanagan and Ravi Shamsi are injured, while Lewis Brownhill is unavailable.

In Division 1 South & West, North Leigh boss John Brough has a full squad to choose from as his side look to inflict a first defeat of the season on hosts Slimbridge.

Spirits are understandably high after last week’s impressive 2-1 win over Vanarama National League South side Weston-Super-Mare in the Emirates FA Cup second qualifying round.

But Brough has warned his side against complacency.

He said: “I’m not the sort of person who will let that happen.

“The players know my demands and they know they have to stay focused from game to game.

“They’re unbeaten so far this season and the manager there is doing a really great job.

“It shows that we can’t afford to take the game lightly, because if we do they’ll get a result – that’s what they’ve done all season.”

Player-manager Stuart Cattell returns from a knee injury as Wantage Town travel to Larkhall Athletic looking to recover from their disappointing 2-0 home defeat to Yate Town.

Cattell was disappointed with his side’s display and demanded a response this weekend.

He said: “I’m looking for a reaction because last weekend was really poor, the worst we’ve been this season.

“I’ve been quick to praise them throughout the season, but I had to point out that wasn’t an acceptable performance.

“I don’t want to be too harsh on them because they’re a young squad and this will happen, but they need to know that wasn’t good enough.”

Todd Hathaway and Tai Hulbert-Thomas are also back, but Adam Doyle (knee) and Sam Brown (hip) miss out, joining long-term absentees Jake Johns (groin) and Elliott Powell (ankle) on the treatment table.

James Glover is unavailable and Kai Robinson is suspended, while Boyan Thorpe has left for Abingdon United.

Ryan Barney could make his first league appearance of the season for Didcot Town as they host Bideford.

The midfielder featured in Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat to Hungerford Town in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup after recovering from a knee injury.

Oxford United loanee Jordan Graham is available after missing last weekend’s trip to Tiverton Town, but Nick Thorne (dead leg) is out and Declan Benjamin is doubtful with a knee problem.

Striker George Reid has left the club for Swindon Supermarine.
