MIKE Ford admits he has been delighted with Banbury United's start to the season, despite seeing his side suffer their first defeat in midweek.

The Puritans made a spectacular start to life in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division following last season's promotion with three straight wins.

Although they went down 1-0 at Dunstable Town on Tuesday night, Ford says he cannot be disappointed with their opening.

"We were going into the unknown a little bit," he said.

"Nobody was really sure what to expect, but if anyone had offered me nine points from four games I would have snapped their hand off.

"If I am being brutally honest we didn't really deserve anything from the game in midweek, but it's been a good start nonetheless."

Banbury host Dorchester Town tomorrow with doubts over two players.

Mark Bell and Jack Westbrook both have groin injuries, but should be fit to take their place in the squad.

Zac McEachran is still ruled out, however, his knee problem likely to keep him sidelined for at least another week.

TOMORROW'S SQUAD
