ST EBBES Headington picked up their first Oxford City FA Premier Division points with a 4-2 win at Masons Arms.
Goals from Josh Horn, Ben Dyer and Stuart Rainey in the first ten minutes put St Ebbes in charge.
And although Tino Seremwe and Lewis Evans struck back in the second half it wasn’t enough, with Rainey sealing victory with his second of the game.
Oxford Brookes University missed a penalty in their 2-1 defeat at home to North Oxford Con Club, who fought back from 1-0 down with two goals in five minutes.
Wheatley Youth held off a late fightback from East Oxford to claim a 3-2 victory.
First-half goals from Henry Bone, Jacob Joseph and an own goal from Andrew Gibney handed Wheatley control of the game.
They could have extended their lead from the penalty spot, but the subsequent save spurred the hosts into life and Wheatley were forced to endure a nervy ending after goals from Abdi Omar and Patryk Wartalski.
