Letcombe have been rewarded for cleaning up their act with a national FA Respect Award.

The Uhlsport Hellenic League club vowed to turn things round after being called to a league management committee meeting in December 2012 due to a poor disciplinary record.

As a result, they have won the accolade for clubs in steps 5-7 of the national league system.

Captain Tom Stone and secretary and treasurer Des Williams are set to receive the award before the FA Community Shield between Arsenal and Chelsea at Wembley on August 2.

The club also pick up a cash prize of £2,000.

“It just shows what can be done if everybody at the club embraces the Respect agenda,” said Williams.

“We have received only two C2 cautions (for dissent) in 30 months and we are very proud of that.”
