ABINGDON United manager Gary Ackling hailed Jamie Mundy’s attitude and work rate after the midfielder picked up the club’s player of the season award.
The 27-year-old played an integral part as United avoided relegation from the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division on the last day of the season.
Ackling, who was appointed manager last October after the departure of Andy Zoldan, steered the club to safety with a five-match unbeaten run at the end of the campaign.
He said: “We had such a high turnover of players, but that does not take anything away from Jamie.
“His attitude and work rate have always been 100 per cent and he deserves it.
“He also scored some very vital goals.”

“Frankie did really well, he scored a couple of goals and has got a good future.”
