When will the council listen about the dangerous situation of the two way system in Cobden Road.

I’ve spoken to two councillors and even an ex-mayor and all I have heard from them are excuses that the road is wider than the others.

This is rubbish as the people who park here mainly don’t even live in the road and make it dangerous.

On one side of the road they are parked sideways on, but on the other chevron parked.

I saw a prang outside my house.

A car trying to back out of the chevron side went into a car coming along the road. The car could not see the car coming as the view was blocked by parked vans.

It’s ridiculous when cars come from both ways and neither want or can give way as there is often nowhere for cars to pull in.

The council’s health and safety is merely words as the situation is a danger to pedestrians. Cars overhang the pavement with large boots and some with tow bars, making it difficult to get by.

The only way to prevent a more serious accident is to get the council make this a one-way road like all the rest up Islingword Road.
