MALVERN Town Wanderers lost 4-1 to unbeaten champions Sheppey Swifts in Ambassador Evesham League Under 15s Pool ‘A’.

The hosts were at their competitive best and Matt Cole’s lob was ruled out for offside.

Senan McCullough and defender Luke Norris both impressed for Malvern but Sheppey took a 2-0 lead into the break.

They added two more goals although Will Smith calmly slotted home a consolation.

Meanwhile, Ledbury Swifts Rovers finished the Herefordshire Junior League Under 17s HGTA Division season with a 9-3 win at Ross Juniors.

They led 5-3 at half-time with goals from Craig Pierce, Lewis Potter (2) and Harri John (2).

Andrew Did, Kai Pullen, an own goal and Pierce completed the scoring.

Second-placed Ledbury have finals at Hereford’s Westfields in the Herefordshire FA Youth Cup against Hinton on Wednesday (7.30pm) and the HGTA Cup against Pegasus Juniors on Saturday, May 2 (11.45am).
