TV chef Rick Stein donned his famous apron when he took to the stage to give a Mediterranean cookery masterclass.

The seafood wizard appeared at Eastwood Park Theatre to demonstrate how to cook some simple dishes he had picked up while on his latest culinary travelogue - Mediterranean Escapes.

He started off making a fried squid dish with a salad of rocket, garlic, chick peas and choritzo sausage.

Next up was a dish consisting of Italian sausage, fennel and lemon flavoured potatoes.

Rick admitted to the audience it was a strange experience being on stage and staring out in to the darkness before answering questions.
