Expansion Scheme issue on behalf of five colleges of Oxford University.

Investors paying 40% tax are expected to obtain a return of 13.7%

compound for five years. Tax relief of 40% should be available and an

individual may invest up to #45,000 by taking advantage of carry-back

relief to the 1992/93 tax year.

* LIFE Association of Scotland is offering an after-tax return of

10.1% fixed for five years with its Quarterly Income Bond. The amount of

capital returned at the end of five years depends on the performance of

the FT SE 100 share index, which has to grow by 8.75% a year compound to

return the original sum. The regular quarterly income is free of all tax

and the minimum investment is #7000.
