DEBAUCHED cherub Jeff lives, like the rest of us, in a lazy everyday

sphere shaped by imperfect personal hygiene, malfunctioning domestic

utensils, disaster-prone clothing, and inadequate relationships.

His strength as a performer resides in his ability to be at once

disarmingly cute and suddenly, shockingly honest. He admits to past

behaviour which shows him in a bad light. Without seeking sympathy, Jeff

tells us things about his father which are too awful to be anything

other than true. And if he's not Perrier short-listed, the judges can

come round and eat my hat and that's a fact.
