Until Sat 9, 1pm, Oran Mor, Glasgow, £10, 08700 600 100 The ever popular lunchtime theatre season, A Play, a Pie and a Pint, is back with the promise of appearances from Karen Dunbar and new plays by Iain Heggie, Denise Mina and Nicola McCartney over the next four months.

First up is a bittersweet comedy by Julie Fraser in which Ann Scott Jones plays a 73-year-old woman living in a nursing home. As if it wasn't enough to be confined to a single room and looked after by a young male carer, she has to put up with the insipid community singalongs of Perry Como's Magic Moments and Mud's Tiger Feet.

All that keeps her going are the memories of one night in Glasgow's famous Plaza ballroom. John Binnie directs and your ticket entitles you to a pie (vegetarian option available) and, of course, a drink.
