Fans wanting to erect a statute to Bill Shankly last night agreed to set up a committee and seek financial backing for an #80,000 statue near Shankly's home village of Glenbuck, Ayrshire.
Mr Jim Fleeting of the Scottish Football Association will chair the committee. The meeting opted for a new design for the statue, rather than a replica of an existing statue at Anfield stadium in Liverpool.
