LOS ANGELES: Elizabeth Taylor was hospitalised after a fall in her home that knocked the Academy Award-winning actress unconscious just hours before a birthday party in her honour, sources confirmed yesterday.
Secrecy surrounded Miss Taylor's hospitalisation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was taken after the fall on Friday. Sources speaking on condition of anonymity said the fall did not create a health crisis and that the actress was doing well. ''I can't confirm that she's here,'' hospital spokeswoman Charlie Lahaie said. Repeated telephone messages left with Taylor's publicists were not returned.
