Second-placed Tower Hill failed to build on a lead as they were thumped 4-1 at Stony Stratford in Southern Women’s League Division 1 North.
Tower took the lead on the half-hour mark when Stony Stratford keeper Ellie Fenables mishandled a cross and the lurking Abi Currie headed home.
Stony responded in devastating style, with the hosts’ top-scorer Siobhan Layne levelling before Charlotte Jones gave them the lead.
Layne completed a double to leave a shell-shocked Tower Hill 3-1 down at the break.
Stony Stratford wrapped it up with a penalty, Laura Whittle burying her spot-kick into the bottom corner.
