Ardley United boss Kevin Brock is targeting an Oxfordshire Senior Cup shock over his old club, Banbury United, tonight.

The semi-final at Thame United will be the first time Brock, who won two promotions during his eight years as Banbury boss, has faced his former side in a competitive match.

He said: “There aren’t that many familiar faces left from my time there any more.

“But I always look out for their results and obviously I’m always looking for them to do well.”

Defender Gavin Kidd is out with a chest infection. but holders Ardley are otherwise at full strength.

Banbury are similarly free of absentees, and manager Paul Davis believes the chance to play in the final at Oxford United’s Kassam Stadium is a big incentive.

“The league campaign is what it’s all about at the end of the day, but the chance to go and play at the Kassam in a big game under the lights is a great opportunity,” he said.

The winners will face either North Leigh or Oxford United, who meet at Banbury United next Tuesday (7.45).
