CRAIG Wharton netted a late winner as Oxford University Press came from behind to beat Heyford Athletic in the semi-final of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup.

Wharton blasted home with five minutes remaining to give his side a 2-1 victory and a clash with Horspath in the final.

Heyford went ahead on ten minutes when Lee Clack fired home.

Keeper Chris Hickin then made a tremendous save to stop the home side going 2-0 ahead, racing back to claw out a lob just as the ball was about to cross the line.

After the break, OUP were the better team and equalised on the hour mark when Neil Lockhart curled home from the edge of the box.

Extra-time was looming, but with five minutes to go, a fierce Sean Hurcombe drive was only parried by keeper Matt Ingram and Wharton was on hand to smack home the rebound and clinch victory.
