FOOTBALL: Hero Javier Hernandez puts Chequers in final
Javier Hernandez struck at the death to give Chequers a 2-1 extra-time win over Wheatley in the semi-final of the Oxford City FA Premier Cup.
Wheatley’s Tony Collins had cancelled out Martin East’s opener, but Hernandez struck with three minutes to go.
They will meet Blackbird Rovers in the final after they beat Summertown Stars 12-4.
Yasine Lamzini (3), Aaron Barrett (2), Jerome McCalmon (2), Josh West (2), Aaron Williams, Luke Bremmer and Ryan Taylor scored.
In the Supplementary Cup semi-final, goals from Sid Mobbs (2) and Robert McMahon gave Fairview a 3-2 victory over Masons Arms.
