ABINGDON United came from three goals down before taking the lead against Littlehampton Town only to be denied victory by a late leveller as their FA Vase second-round home tie finished 4-4 after extra time.

George Landais fired the Sussex League visitors ahead after nine minutes, Dan Swain stabbed home a free-kick for No 2 and Landais chipped keeper Lee Farrow for his second to make it 3-0 after 36 minutes.

Anaclet Odhiambo struck to start the comeback four minutes later.

Tom Melledew fired into the top corner to make it 3-2 four minutes into the second half, and Kieran Cochrane completed the revival two minutes later when he charged down a clearance from Jon Hendrick and outraced the keeper to shoot home.

With the tie going into extra time, Andrew Younie put Abingdon ahead seven minutes into the first period.

But Littlehampton levelled with eight minutes left through Ben Gray to set up a replay on Wednesday.

Luke Ricketts gave Thame United a first-minute lead at Alresford Town, only for their Wessex League Premier Division hosts to hit back for a 3-1 win.

Andy Turner equalised in the 63rd minute, and Thame’s fate was sealed as Jack Hoey and Harry Draycott added further goals.
