I am speechless, too stunned to speak any more than this, at the moment, utterlly ridiculous that so many can be total failures when the season got tough but can be kept. What planet is Waddock on? Certainly not earth, he's as mad as they come. Waddock out now!
I agree with Greengarden ! What an idiot you are with such stupid comments.
    Go and support another team.

I'm ok with Constable and Wright staying- if indeed they accept the contracts offered. May be that Wright won't.
Glad to see the back of Smalley and Rigg.
But why is Hunt still with us !! One of our worst full backs for years.
    And Newey must go.
From who you want to stay and want Togo you agree with me to a. Retain extent so how can you be so right and me so much of an idiot? We both want to see a reasonably successful team here and I really don't expect us to be premier league, just competitive at the level we are at, we struggled against all the top teams and only held our own against the lesser sides. Also our budget is bigger than a lot of the teams who achieved more than we have this season but the lions share goes into Kassams pockets not for the benefit of the playing side. I had a look at wages for last season and some of our failing players were on a lot more than players who achieved things with clubs that were successful. It will be interesting to trawl thru the clubs that have got Promoted and in the play offs, when the figures come out next year, to see just how much smaller their respective wages were. It's a proven fact, argue as much as you like, that on players wages and rent we pay out more than virtually any other club in League 2. All I ask for is a club that competes on the pitch in a way that is comparable to its budget. Look at Rochdale. Their budget is half what ours was. It's not idiotic to expect a bit more consistency from this club is it?"

Constable offered new contract as Oxford United release three

Oxford Mail: James Constable has been Oxford United's top scorer for the last six seasons James Constable has been Oxford United's top scorer for the last six seasons

James Constable has been offered the chance to stay at Oxford United following contract talks with the squad at the Kassam Stadium this morning.

The U's have also taken up the 12-month option on skipper Jake Wright's contract, but Deane Smalley, Sean Rigg and Scott Davies have been released.

Tom Newey will meet with head coach Gary Waddock tomorrow to discuss his future.

Wayne Brown, who was on a player/coach contract, will not be offered playing terms, but talks will follow about a coaching role.

Michael Raynes, whose original contract expired this summer, will stay after making enough appearances this season to activate a clause keeping him at the club for an additional 12 months.

Loan trio Ryan Williams, David Connolly and Nicky Wroe have all returned to their parent clubs.
