Vale of White Horse Under 13s upset Bedford 4-1 in the Oxford United Cup semi-final at Milton United.

The visitors, who face Sunderland in the ESFA Inter-Association Trophy final at Reading’s Madejski Stadium on May 21, were blitzed by Vale’s first-half performance.

Jamie Masters struck twice, pouncing on loose balls after James Stewart and Jack Earl had shots stopped by the keeper.

Stewart then raced on to Joe Fleming’s long ball to fire home from 20 yards and give Vale a 3-0 interval lead.

Bedford pulled one back early in the second half, but Stewart turned home Earl’s cross to seal Vale’s victory and a place in the final against Gosport & Fareham on a date and at a venue to be decided.

EUAN Aitchison’s second-minute header saw Langtree (Woodcote) lift the Vale of White Horse Under 16 Cup for the first time with a 1-0 win over Faringdon.
