Newly-crowned Witney & District FA Premier Division champions West Witney celebrated retaining their title with a 5-0 home success against Chadlington, writes Anthony Barlow.

Goals from Chris Bowles, Chris Hirons, Ian Sparkes, Stefan Reed and Carl Williams made up the nap hand.

West Witney had sealed the title last Wednesday with a 7-2 thrashing of visitors Witney Royals.

Reed bagged a brace, with Hirons, Williams, Karl Dodds, Kev Lewis and Alex Stubbs completing the rout.

Mo Semlali notched a double as Hailey Res took over at the top of Division 1 with a 3-1 win at home to FC Nomads.

Tom Gonzales was their other scorer, with Dave Hurp replying.

Hanborough Res were relegated following a 4-0 thumping at Kingham.

Jamie Hazell (2), Dom Hemming and Richard French did the damage for Hanborough.

Ethan Penny hit a hat-trick as Combe stretched their lead at the top of Division 2 with a 5-0 thrashing of relegated Witney Royals Res.

Matt Currill and Roger Moss also netted.

Middle Barton still have an outside chance of going up from Division 3 after a 5-0 home win against Brize Norton Res.

Martin Kay scored a double, with Lee Haynes, Charlie Yeomans and Rob Davis also on target.

Aston Res kept their Division 4 promotion hopes on track with a 2-1 home win against Milton Res, thanks to goals from Chris Poulson and Matt Gregor.

Matt Molyneux hit back for Milton.

It means Aston now have to win their last four games to go up.

Wootton Res drew 1-1 at home to Spartan Rangers A.

Dexter Lancaster scored for the visitors, while Aidan Marx’s goal kept them a point clear off the foot of the table.

Hailey fought back to beat Carterton 3-2 at home in the Senior Cup first round.

Trailing 2-0 at half-time to goals from Chris MacNeil, Hailey hit back after the break through Sean King, Luke Manning and Harvey Butler.

A hat-trick from Chris Strange helped Minster Lovell storm to a 4-1 win at Witney Royals.

Paul Wiggins was their other marksman, with Tom West on target for Royals.

Shaun Gilbert scored twice as Charlbury Town won 3-1 at home to Hanborough.

Mark Goode was also on the scoresheet, with Liam Harris replying.

Former FC Hollybush striker Lee Keyes’s hat-trick helped Carterton Rangers to a 4-0 victory against his old teammates in the Junior Cup quarter-finals.

Sam Giles got their other goal.

Bart Lachowicz bagged a brace as Division 1 side Brize Norton brushed aside Division 2 outfit Kirtlington in a 3-1 home success.

Dan Frizzell completed Brize’s tally, with Callum Emmet scoring for the visitors.

Division 4 champions Tower Hill pulled off a surprise 3-2 win at Division 3 side Bampton United in the Supplementary Cup quarter-finals.

Jamie Goodwin (2) and Elliot Graham won it for the visitors, with Nathan Beckett and Sid Ashley replying.

Dave Cross (2), Ben Hardcastle and Omar Semlali were on target for Spartan Rangers Res in a 4-0 second-round win at Eynsham SSC Res.

Charlbury Res eased to a 2-0 win at Wychwood Forest, thanks to goals from Dom Crisp and Steven Pearce.
