RICKY Anderson scored twice as The George won 3-2 away to Barton United in the Oxford City FA's Premier Division.
Substitute Jack Stuart also struck for the visitors.
Jamie McCuaig and Oatis Woodward were on target for the home side.
The result all but guarantees The George will finish as runners-up.
They are three points behind leaders Original Swan, who have three games in hand.
The only other game in the division played last weekend saw struggling Masons Arms claim a useful point in a goalless draw at home to third-placed Union Street.
