Oxford City manager Mike Ford says the arrival of three new recruits has helped invigorate their fight against relegation from Skrill North.
On-loan Forest Green keeper Matt Bulman, ex-Gloucester City midfielder Darren Mullings and winger Vic Solomon-Otabor, who is on loan from Birmingham, helped City record their first win since Boxing Day in a 2-1 success against Histon on Tuesday.
And now he is looking for a similar impact at form-side Telford United tomorrow.
“The new players have made us better ability-wise and they have galvanised us a lot.
“Matt has really impressed everyone with his keeping. He kicks a lovely ball and Darren adds something to midfield.
“Then we have Viv who gives us pace down the right.
“It was a very good win for us, but we need to back it up.
“Hopefully, it’s the start of a run of positive results."
Meanwhile, Ford said he might make a few changes for the trip to high-fliers Telford ahead of Tuesday’s visit of mid-table Leamington.
He added: “Telford will be tough – they’ve won six on the trot, But I’ve also got to think about the game against Leamington which is winnable.
“I don’t want to put all our eggs in one basket because I don’t want to lose three or four players, who could have played on Tuesday to injury.
“I would like to back up the Histon game with any points return, but I have to be careful what I do with the team.
“So people should not be surprised if I make four or five changes (for Telford).”
Oxford City (v Telford Utd, away): from Bulman, Henderson, Stonehouse, Pook, Preece, Willmott, Solomon-Otabor, Mullings, Basham, Pond, Winters, Symons, McEachran, Jackson, Learoyd, Ballard.
