KIDLINGTON came from behind to impressively beat Oxford Mail Girls League Under 15 league title challengers Swindon Spitfires 4-2 away from home.

Poppy Cottrill gave the hosts an early lead, but two goals from Casey Brennan put Kidlington 2-1 up at half-time.

Frankie Hamby extended the advantage shortly after the break, before Dani Granato reduced the deficit from the penalty spot.

Swindon went in search of an equaliser, but instead Brennan netted her third and Kidlington’s fourth to condemn Spitfires to their first defeat of the season.

A day later, it was Oxford City’s turn to travel to Swindon, seeing their 100 per cent record ended with a 2-2 draw.

City twice led, first through Shellie Knight and then Ellie Larkin, but both times Spitfires pegged them back.

Amy Connaghan immediately cancelled out Knight’s opener and after Meghan Larkin had levelled once again on the stroke of half-time, City were forced to settle for a point.

Bardwell gained revenge for an earlier defeat by Stonesfield Strikers.

They won 3-0 with Beth Dutton grabbing a hat-trick.

Lucy Durham hammered a hat-trick, but couldn’t stop Kidlington falling to a 6-3 defeat at Bedford in the Under 14 La Liga.

Benson United were beaten 3-1 at home to Bloxham in the Bundesliga, falling behind to a Jenna Owen penalty and then conceding again just two minutes later as Emily Parker was given the freedom of the box.

Phoebe Parsons pulled a goal back for the hosts early in the second half, but Bloxham were not to be denied and Natalie Sansom added a third to put the result beyond doubt.

In the Primeira Liga, Wantage went down 4-0 at Penn & Tylers Green in a ten-a-side game, Emily Freeman netting a brace alongside goals from Rebecca Manktleow and Nancie Sinfield.

Jasmine Hughes opened the scoring from the penalty spot to give Barton a one-goal lead at the break, which was doubled by Zeriah Sutton after a spell of pressure at the start of the second half.

Megan Smart pulled a goal back for the Divas, but United held on for a deserved win.

Kidlington Hawks took Under 12 local bragging rights with a 2-1 win at rivals Kidlington Harriers.

Mia Thomson put Hawks ahead, but Polly Hipkiss levelled just a minute into the second half to leave the game finely poised.

Hawks made the breakthrough five minutes from time when Emily Keal fired home.

Emily Green struck three times as league leaders Oxford City emphatically beat Carterton 6-0 to extend their winning streak to eight games.

Amanda Osarabonancy, Georgie Moore and Robin Cotterell were also on the scoresheet.

Carterton Town put on a clinical display to defeat Kidlington 3-0 away from home.

The visitors took the lead through Ellie Walecki before Ruby Colleton doubled their advantage prior to the interval.

Ellie Jones sealed the result shortly before the final whistle.

Leschea Guiste’s stunning five-goal haul helped Summertown Stars White to a thrilling 6-4 home triumph over Wantage in the Under 10 league.

Rose Kent scored all four of Wantage’s goals to keep the visitors in the match.

However Summertown were irresistible as Guiste’s five-timer and a goal from Charlotte Evans ensured it was the league leaders who took the points.
