CRITCHLEYS UTV LEAGUE - RIDGEWAY CUP

BLACK Swan cruised into the fourth round with a convincing 4-1 win over Kennington.

Both teams were evenly matched in the early stages until John Mills slotted in the opening goal for the away side.

But Black Swan kept their heads and got back into the game courtesy of a screamer by Louis Bloomfield from outside the box. Gary Belcher then kept the Swans level with an off-the-line clearance from a well placed header at a Kennington corner.

The game was turned on its head ten minutes into the second half when Kennington’s Ryan Johnson was sent off shortly after Mike Quinan had fired Swans into the lead.

Frank Haines then headed in a cross from James Foster and Jesse Mortimer slotted in the fourth to seal the tie.
