BANBURY United went down 3-2 away to Frome in last night’s Calor League Premier Division fixture that ended in a first home win of the season for the Somerset side.
Jack Vallis put Frome ahead on four minutes, and after Banbury keeper Kwame Fordah had saved a penalty from Ben Wood, Scott Bridges netted from the spot at the other end to make it 1-1 following a foul on Aaron Morgan.
Mark Francis restored Frome’s lead on 43 minutes, only for Tanasheh Abrahams to square things up again two minutes later from 25 yards.
Wood put Frome 3-2 up two minutes after the break and Banbury were grateful for some fine saves from Kwame, who averted a heavier defeat.
