8:00am Wednesday 15th January 2014

Barton United caused an upset as they beat Oxford City FA leaders Original Swan 4-2 to reach the semi-finals of the Couling Cup, inflicting the home side’s first defeat of the season.

Shaun Hurcombe got Barton’s first with Jamie McCuaig bagging a brace.

Otis Woodward came off the bench to wrap up the scoring.

Josh Green and Craig Gilboy replied for the shell-shocked hosts.

Fairview’s Sid Mobbs started his birthday celebrations a day early with a hat-trick in their 3-1 win against Summertown.

He opened his account when the keeper failed to handle his shot.

Mobbs then completed his treble with a penalty double.

Dean Flanagan scored the only goal of the game as The George defeated Oakley United A 1-0 at home.

Union Street reached the last four with a 4-0 success at Masons Arms, thanks to a Matt Goulding treble.

Goulding’s brace saw them storm into a 2-0 half-time lead.

In the second half, Steve Price made it 3-0. Goulding finished off the scoring with a header from Matt Brandish’s cross.
