Andy Samson grabbed a last-minute winner to give holders Berinsfield a 4-3 home victory over Oxford City Nomads Development in the quarter-finals of the Intermediate Cup.

The North Berks League hosts came from 3-1 down to claim victory against their Hellenic League Division 2 West opponents.

Chris Murphy, Luke Holdsworth and Dan Osbourne also scored for Berinsfield, who are now away to Kidlington Old Boys or Thame United Res in the semi-finals on Saturday, March 8.

Luke Yeulet scored twice as Watlington Town recorded a stunning 4-2 win at home to Hellenic League Division 2 West side Hook Norton Res.

Yeulet and Dan McNiffe gave the Oxfordshire Senior League Division 1 outfit a 2-0 half-time lead, which they increased after the break through Yeulet’s second.

Hook Norton pulled two goals back, but Watlington sealed victory in the final minute through Allan Stevenson’s well-placed free-kick.

In the last four, Watlington will entertain Dorchester, from North Berks League Division 1, after they battled to a 3-2 home win over Division 3 pacesetters Westminster.

Billy Warner, Ben Curtis and an own goal made up Dorchester’s tally, with Sam Dallimore and George Hartless replying.
